Ahorn Berghotel Friedrichroda

We loved this hotel on a hill top with amazing facilities, including a large swimming pool, yoga, and gym. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. The staff were excellent, always speaking English and being friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the location on a hill top near a small town with fantastic hiking opportunities.

For us it was ideal.

The staff were helpful and cute, room was sufficient for a small stay with kids, park opposite the hotel was a blessing, enjoyable surrounding area and town with many activities available, excellent English-speaking staff, clean and spacious room.

Spent Easter with the family in a hotel nestled in the hills surrounded by lush forests. The indoor and outdoor pools were a great hit with the kids, and the playground kept them occupied for hours. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of bread, cheese, jam, and freshly made pancakes. The staff was courteous and welcoming.

The elevators were very slow, and we had to wait for several minutes before one arrived. The parking situation could have been better as well.

This hotel is situated in a stunning location, on top of a small mountain in a heavily forested area. The views from the outdoor restaurant are simply breathtaking. It's a great choice if you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating, making you feel welcomed throughout your stay.

No complaints, everything was satisfactory.

Located in a peaceful area surrounded by mature forests, this hotel is a perfect location for a relaxing getaway in the mountains. the rooms are functional and clean, and the staff delivers friendly service. the breakfast selection is varied, including fresh bread and crepes. Not to mention, the hotel boasts a pool, spa, and cinema, perfect for days when you want to stay in. the view of the valley is stunning from the balcony with plastic chairs to relax.

The parking is not convenient and may require a small fee to park closer to the hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was enjoyable and we found no major issues.

Incredible Breakfast and Serene Location

Spent an amazing weekend at a hotel located near a small town in Germany. Surrounded by lush forests and a beautiful atmosphere, the location made our stay worthwhile. The breakfast was out of this world with mouth-watering dishes and a wide variety to choose from. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and spacious. We were treated to a fantastic view of the forest from our rooms, with plenty of wildlife hiding amongst the trees.

The pool timings were not ideal, closing too early in the evening which was unfortunate for us as we returned from our excursions late in the evenings. Additionally, we were disappointed that there was no affordable evening meal option provided by the hotel. We were left to explore the town in search of food. The hotel bar was somewhat of a disappointment too with the cocktails leaving much to be desired.

This hotel is located at the top of a small mountain in a heavily forested area, offering breathtaking views of the Thuringian Forest. The beautiful surroundings provide numerous opportunities for hiking and exploring the area on foot.

Everything was just fine.
